The Recruitment Hive Pty Ltd, on behalf of an independent Federal Government agency, seeks a Lead Cyber Security Architect in Canberra. Hybrid work arrangement with 2 days onsite per week in ACT, NV1 security clearance expected.

The role focuses on developing cyber security architecture, leading risk assessments, and delivering compliant security designs for critical internal systems and external connections.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience with Australian Government governance concepts, ICT policy/standards development, and documentary frameworks.
• Extensive experience delivering and applying agile methodologies.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality design documents and ensure compliance with PSPF, ISM, Essential Eight and related standards.

Our client, an independent Federal Government agency responsible for implementing and administering the National Disability Insurance Scheme, require the services of a Lead Cyber Security Architect.

Duties of the Lead Cyber Security Architect

• Developing cyber security architecture and detailed security design documents, including Role Based Access controls for internal systems.
• Leading and conducting risk assessments for internal systems and assessing risk from external connections.
• Undertaking compliance activities in relation to cyber security standards within the Agency aligned to cyber security architecture and industry best practice.
• Resolving complex IT related issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. Developing and participating in the implementation of initiatives focused on the reduction of technology risk, governance and compliance to policies and regulatory compliance.
• Supporting various business areas by ensuring stakeholders adequately address all relevant compliance standards such as the PSPF, ISM, Agency Risk Management Frameworks and incident management disciplines.

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum of five years’ experience with Australian Government governance concepts with a focus on ICT, policy/standards development, documentation of frameworks, and assisting in the reporting to Senior Executive Extensive experience in delivering and applying agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in producing high quality design documents and ensuring compliance standards at met including Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), Information Security Manual (ISM), Essential Eight, ISO standards, Risk Management Frameworks and incident management disciplines.
• Prior experience operating as a Senior Cyber Security Architect, Cyber specialist or similar role
• Demonstrated skills and experience in digital transformations across domains (i.e. business, information, security, data, technology, integration, and application).
