Job summary

ISGroup is a progressive surveying and geospatial organisation based in Sydney, seeking a Senior Surveyor for a full-time role. You will lead field surveys, prepare plans, reduce data and collaborate with the operations team across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree, licensing, and 12D field experience, with strong analytical and communication skills. Travel to project sites is expected as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in surveying or geomatics.
• Licensing and professional memberships are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Undertake surveys as directed by the Operations Manager or Survey Coordinator.
• Pre-organise job requirements (plans, field notes, drawings) and pre-calculations.
• Prepare plans and process survey data including reductions.
• Assess client needs and maintain developed surveying processes.

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Surveyor on a full-time basis to join our expanding team in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake surveys requested by the Operations Manager and/or Survey Coordinator
• Pre-organise job requirements (plans, field notes, dwg files) and pre-calculations if necessary
• Prepare plans, reduce and compute survey data
• Assessing client needs & maintaining developed processes

• Proven experience as a Surveyor, with a strong understanding of surveying techniques and practices
• 12D Field experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics Engineering or TAFE equivalent
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Licensed Surveyor) and professional memberships (e.g., SSSI) are preferred
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various project sites
