Job summary

Land Surveys in Sydney, part of the ISGroup, is seeking Survey Assistants on a permanent full-time basis, DIDO from Sydney or Newcastle. You will support Senior Surveyors with a range of field activities to ensure work is delivered to scope and schedule.

The role requires a Certificate II in surveying (desirable), a valid driver’s license, travel to project sites, and strong teamwork and communication skills. On-site work with competitive remuneration and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• CertificateII in surveying, spatial science or similar (desirable).
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup of survey instrumentation and onsite preparation.
• Assist with survey instrumentation maintenance and configuration of equipment as directed.
• Assist with the capture of field data as directed by lead surveyor.
• Ensure survey and compliance checklists are completed and correctly recorded.
• Assist with processing of field data as directed by lead surveyor.
• Demonstrate a commitment to WHSEQ and the assessment and management of health and safety risk that is consistent with Group WHSEQ policy, procedures, roles and responsibilities.
• Other duties and accountabilities as reasonably required and directed.

About therole:
