Job summary

ISGroup in Sydney is seeking a Senior Surveyor on a full-time basis to join our expanding team. You will undertake surveys as directed by the Operations Manager or Survey Coordinator and prepare plans, field notes and DWG files.

The role requires proven surveying experience, 12D Field proficiency, and strong analytical and communication skills. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics Engineering or TAFE equivalent.
• Licenced Surveyor certification and SSSI membership preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Proven experience as a Surveyor with strong surveying techniques.

Responsibilities

• Undertake surveys requested by the Operations Manager and/or Survey Coordinator.
• Pre‑organise job requirements (plans, field notes, dwg files) and pre‑calculations if necessary.
• Prepare plans, reduce and compute survey data.

About the role:

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare plans, reduce and compute survey data

You’ll thrive in our team if you have:

• Proven experience as a Surveyor, with a strong understanding of surveying techniques and practices
• 12D Field experience
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics Engineering or TAFE equivalent
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Licensed Surveyor) and professional memberships (e.g., SSSI) are preferred
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various project sites
