Qualifications

• Bachelor level or advanced diploma in surveying or nearing completion.
• Strong interest in engineering surveying and civil/structural projects.
• Desire to develop autonomy from field-to-office deliverables.
• Willingness to learn modern surveying instruments and processing software (12d/Civil3D/Trimble/Leica).
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality data.
• Strong organization, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction and engineering set‑out programs for civil and structural assets.
• Balance field data capture with office data processing/reporting workflows.
• Review and validate detail, feature, and topographic surveys.
• Contribute to as‑built surveys, volume calculations, and reporting.
• Develop technical expertise on civil and structural infrastructure components.
• Use GNSS, total stations, and surveying instruments accurately and safely.
• Maintain data quality and safety standards.

About the Role

Working alongside our Senior team, you will be given the tools and guidance to gradually take ownership of survey activities across multiple civil and structural engineering sites.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Assisting with precise construction and engineering set‑out programs for civil and structural assets
• Learning to manage your own workflow seamlessly between field data capture and office processing/reporting
• Learning to review and validate accurate detail, feature, and topographic surveys
• Contributing to detailed as‑built surveys, volume calculations, and comprehensive reporting
• Developing technical expertise on complex structural and civil infrastructure components
• Gaining high proficiency in the accurate use and calibration of GNSS, total stations, and cutting‑edge survey instruments
• Maintaining strict survey accuracy, data quality assurance, and safety standards

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive individual who is eager to learn, ask questions, and eventually work independently both on‑site and in the office.

You Will Ideally Have

• A Degree or Advanced Diploma in Surveying (or currently completing your final year)
• A strong interest in Engineering, Civil, and Structural surveying
• A desire to develop autonomy and manage field‑to‑office deliverables efficiently
• Basic exposure to or a keen willingness to learn modern surveying instruments and processing software (such as 12d, Civil3D, Trimble, or Leica)
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality data
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• A current, valid Australian driver’s licence
