Job summary

ISGroup – Land Surveys is seeking Survey Assistants on a permanent full-time basis, DIDO from Sydney or Newcastle. In this role you will assist Senior Surveyors in carrying out a variety of survey works, ensuring outcomes are delivered to the required scope, schedule and standard.

Candidates should hold a Certificate II in surveying or similar, have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to project sites. A team-based approach and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate II in surveying, spatial science or similar (desirable).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup of survey instrumentation and onsite preparation for projects.
• Assist with survey instrumentation maintenance and configuration of equipment as directed.
• Assist with the capture of field data as directed by lead surveyor.
• Ensure survey and compliance checklists are completed and correctly recorded.
• Assist with processing of field data as directed by lead surveyor.

About therole:

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup of surveyinstrumentation and onsite preparation for projects
• Assist with survey instrumentationmaintenance and configuration of equipment as directed
• Assist with the capture of fielddata as directed by lead surveyor
• Ensure survey and compliancechecklists are completed and correctly recorded
• Assist with processing of fielddata as directed by lead surveyor
• Demonstrate a commitment to WHSEQand the assessment and management of health and safety risk that isconsistent with Group WHSEQ policy, procedures, roles and responsibilities
• Other duties and accountabilitiesas reasonably required and directed

Keyrequirements:

• CertificateII in surveying, spatial science or similar (desirable)
