Job summary

Regis Resources is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer (Surface Mining) to lead open pit planning within our technical services group in Laverton, VIC. The role is FIFO 8:6 from Perth and reports to the Mine Planning Superintendent, guiding short- and medium-term plans to meet production targets safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant senior mining engineer experience in open pit operations.
• Experience with Deswik and scheduling.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of short and medium-term mine plans.
• Monitor and optimise rolling plans, schedules and forecasts.
• Provide technical leadership to Mining Engineers and Graduates.
• Ensure contractor alignment with mine plans, budgets and production targets.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in mining practices and technology.
• Contribute to budgets, life of mine planning, forecasts and reporting.
• Collaborate with geology, survey, processing and operations teams.
