Job summary

Genesis Minerals Limited in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our Laverton operations and lead technical aspects of the Bruno-Lewis Project from day one. The role offers genuine career development opportunities and a competitive roster with 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO from Perth to Leonora.

Reporting to the Open Pit Manager, you will coordinate mining activities, design and optimise plans, ensure safety compliance and develop Life of Mine strategies while

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Quarry Manager's Certificate (highly regarded).
• Sound knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to mining.
• Technical expertise in Open Pit mine design, drill and blast and mine planning.
• Proficient with computer scheduling software (Deswik will be highly regarded).
• Operational site based mining experience (preferably gold) in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of short and medium term production targets.
• Assist with management of the in-house open pit contractor to achieve targets.
• Plan, design, review and optimise designs and plans for development, drill and blast and project items.
• Plan, review and adjust mine designs to provide approved mine plans for operations.
• Establish mine technical services systems, processes, standards, and ensure consultation with geology and surveying.
• Ensure infrastructure requirements are accounted for in all mine schedules and projects.
• Develop Life of Mine designs and provide information to ensure plans are reasonable and achievable.
• Provide leadership to technical personnel and manage resources for the wider team.
