Job summary

Contec Recruitment is seeking a Senior Structures Supervisor to lead the delivery of large bridge packages on a major road project north of Brisbane. You will report to the Superintendent and coordinate site crews, supervisors and subcontractors to meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage site crews, Supervisors / Foremen, and subcontractors to drive daily production and ensure project targets are met
• Plan, allocate, and approve all plant, labor, materials, and subcontractor equipment mobilisation
• Oversee daily construction activities in accordance with the latest design documents, specifications, and project schedules
• Monitor site productivity, track expenditures, and prepare accurate construction progress reports and personnel forecasts
• Conduct pre-starts and toolbox talks while maintaining uncompromising standards for safety, quality, and environmental compliance

This well-established national civil contractor is delivering a major M1 roadworks and structures TMR project based North of Brisbane. With construction running until the end of 2030, the comprehensive scope of works includes bulk earthworks, drainage, services, bridges, and major road upgrades

We are searching for a Senior Structures Supervisor with a proven track record of delivering large bridge packages valued at $200M+, specifically involving massive superstructures and concrete decks in challenging, active environments.

Reporting directly to the Superintendent, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate and manage site crews, Supervisors / Foremen, and subcontractors to drive daily production and ensure project targets are met
• Plan, allocate, and approve all plant, labor, materials, and subcontractor equipment mobilisation
• Oversee daily construction activities in strict accordance with the latest design documents, specifications, and project schedules
• Monitor site productivity, track expenditures, and prepare accurate construction progress reports and personnel forecasts
• Conduct pre-starts and toolbox talks while maintaining uncompromising standards for safety, quality, and environmental compliance

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a strong history of delivering structural bridge packages on major road projects for a principal contractor. You will also possess sharp commercial acumen, ensuring the project remains under budget while site operations run at maximum potential. This role will give you the opportunity to work on the early stages of a project, through to completion whilst keeping you based locally & home every night, delivering a landmark project.
