Job summary

S&you Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil construction projects in Brisbane. You will oversee planning, delivery, and commercial performance for large-scale civil works, infrastructure and demolition programs, coordinating engineering, site, and commercial teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years with Tier 1/2 contractors, a civil engineering or construction management degree, and strong skills in programming, planning, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Strong civil infrastructure project experience including demolition or earthworks.
• Strong commercial and financial management capability.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong programming, planning and reporting skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong WHS, quality and environmental understanding.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Lead project delivery teams including Project Engineers and site personnel.
• Manage project programs, budgets, forecasts and commercial performance.
• Monitor project costs, productivity, progress and financial outcomes.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and procurement activities.
• Review and manage contracts, variations, claims and project correspondence.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure projects are delivered with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate project reporting, programming and resource requirements.
• Support tender handovers, project planning and pre-construction activities.

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major national contractor within its growing Queensland operation.

Project Manager - Civil Construction - Brisbane

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major national contractor within its growing Queensland operation.

The role will suit a Project Manager with strong Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil construction experience who has successfully delivered complex projects across civil works, infrastructure, demolition, bulk earthworks, remediation or related sectors.

You will take responsibility for the overall planning, commercial management and delivery of projects, working closely with engineering, site, commercial and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover
• Lead project delivery teams including Project Engineers, Site Engineers and site personnel
• Manage project programs, budgets, forecasts and commercial performance

About You

To Be Considered, You Will Ideally Have

• Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Project Manager
• Previous experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor
• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
• Strong civil construction or infrastructure project experience
• Experience across demolition, bulk earthworks, remediation or complex construction projects highly regarded
• Strong commercial and financial management capability
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong programming, planning and reporting skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong understanding of WHS, quality and environmental requirements
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment
