Job summary

Kaizen Steel Pty Ltd in Dandenong South, Victoria is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Fabricator/Welder for a full-time role. You will fabricate and assemble high-quality structural steel components for commercial and industrial projects.

You will read engineering drawings, perform MIG and other welding, operate plasma cutters and grinders, and work with the project team to meet tight deadlines while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Steel Fabricator/Welder.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Demonstrated expertise in MIG welding to a high standard.
Experience with plasma cutters, grinders and power tools.
Valid driver’s license and forklift license (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings to fabricate structural steel components.
Perform precision welding to join components using MIG and other techniques.
Operate cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment.
Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely fabrication.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety protocols.
