Job summary

Australian Steel Institute AB based in Ballarat is looking for a skilled metal fabricator to join our manufacturing team. You will read and interpret technical drawings, fabricate and assemble custom steel products, and perform MIG welding across various materials to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will work closely with engineering and production teams, undertake repairs and site installations as required, and bring a practical, detail-oriented approach with strong communication to ensure

Qualifications

• 1+ years proven experience in metal fabrication is highly regarded.
• Relevant Australian trade qualifications are essential.
• Confidence working from plans and drawings with minimal supervision is highly desirable, but training can be provided for the right person.
• Practical approach with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
