Job summary

Wyndham Steel Solutions in Melbourne is seeking a dedicated Steel Fabricator/Installer to join our growing team in a hybrid role.

You will fabricate and weld structural steel beams/columns, read shop drawings, assist with site installations, and handle workshop loading/unloading with basic tools and forklift operation. HR license is a plus; White Card and a full AU driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
• 2–3 years’ experience with welding and fabrication of steel products.
• HR license preferred but not required.
• White Card required.
• Full Australian driver’s license (HR preferred).
• Dogging/Riggers license preferred with training available.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding of structural steel beams/columns.
• Reading and interpreting steel shop drawings to complete fabrication duties and set out on construction sites.
• Assisting with installation of structural steel on residential and commercial sites.
• Loading and unloading steel within the workshop.
• Using basic hand and power tools.
• Operation of forklift within the workshop.
• HR license to operate company trucks is optional but preferred.
