Job summary

AECOM in Australia seeks a Senior Structural Engineer (NSQEP) to deliver complex seismic and safety-critical structural designs for defence, research and nuclear sectors. You will contribute to multidisciplinary teams, delivering robust calculations and documentation to ensure compliant, safe, and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 6+ years' experience in structural engineering, including complex buildings or safety-critical projects.
• Desirable experience in defence, research, nuclear environments.
• Knowledge of Australian/international structural, seismic and nuclear design standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural and seismic design for complex buildings and safety-critical facilities in defence, research, and nuclear sectors.
• Perform advanced structural analysis including seismic assessment, dynamic analysis, and modelling.
• Prepare technical calculations, reports and design documentation per project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Support development of nuclear safety cases and regulatory submissions.
