Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Structural Engineer (NSQEP) to deliver structural and seismic design for complex defence, research and nuclear facilities. You will perform advanced analyses, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to nuclear safety cases and regulatory submissions.

With 6+ years in structural engineering and a strong background in seismic design, you will work in a highly regulated environment, adhering to Australian and international standards, while pursuing Chartered

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 6+ years' experience in structural engineering, ideally involving complex buildings, seismic structures or safety-critical projects.
• Experience in defence, research, nuclear or other highly regulated environments is desirable.
• Progress towards Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural and seismic design for complex buildings and safety-critical facilities in defence, research and nuclear sectors.
• Undertake advanced structural analysis, including seismic assessment, dynamic analysis and structural modelling.
• Prepare technical calculations, reports and design documentation per project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Support development of nuclear safety cases, regulatory submissions and technical justifications.
