Job summary

DRA Global is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to deliver practical, safe, and efficient structural engineering solutions from concept through detailed design. You will collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality project outcomes in the mining sector.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and approximately 8+ years of detailed design experience, with proficiency in Strand7 and SpaceGass.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in detailed design engineering for mining projects.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles: statics, dynamics, stability, mechanics of materials.
• Experience analysing and designing structural systems for safety, durability and efficiency.
• Proficiency with Strand7 and SpaceGass.

Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed structural designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Undertake structural analysis and design using Strand7 and SpaceGass.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural requirements into project delivery.
• Lead small project teams and support delivery of assigned work packages.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, lessons learned workshops and QA processes.
• Ensure compliance with Australian standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
