Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Digital BIM Lead - Building Services to join the National Building Engineering team. This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or other AECOM offices across Australia, with BIM leadership across projects, ensuring standards and ISO19650 compliance.

You will lead BIM execution planning, coordinate clashes, mentor project BIM teams, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across Defence, Health, Education, Transit and Building sectors, delivering

• Technical qualifications or experience in Building Services with focus on mechanical, fire or hydraulic disciplines.
• Proven BIM coordination and digital delivery experience in construction or infrastructure.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit; working knowledge of Revizto and Navisworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills for multidisciplinary coordination.
• Australian Citizenship is preferred; defence clearance highly regarded.

How you’ll make a difference

Due to strategic growth, we are seeking a Digital BIM Lead - Building Services to join our National Building Engineering team.

This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and other AECOM offices in Australia.

• Lead BIM execution planning and digital coordination across Building Services projects, embedding consistent standards and methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Direct clash detection and model coordination processes, upholding BIM standards and ISO19650 principles across design and construction phases.
• Guide the evaluation and implementation of digital tools and emerging technology, driving improved efficiency and delivery outcomes across the portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to project-based BIM teams, ensuring consistent quality and coordination outcomes regardless of project scale.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external consultants, aligning digital delivery with broader project and client objectives.
• Work across key sectors including Defence, Health, Education, Sport & Culture, Transit and Building projects.

• Relevant technical qualifications or industry experience in Building Services, with a background in mechanical, fire or hydraulic disciplines highly regarded.
• Proven experience in BIM coordination and digital delivery within the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with working knowledge of coordination platforms such as Revizto and Navisworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary coordination processes.
• Given the nature of some projects, Australian Citizenship is preferred, with current defence clearance highly regarded.
