Job summary

AECOM seeks a Digital BIM Lead for Building Services to lead BIM execution and digital coordination across multiple Australian offices. The role supports complex projects from design through construction, defining standards and supervising multidisciplinary team collaboration.

You will mentor BIM teams, drive clash detection, and evaluate new tools like Revit, Revizto and Navisworks to improve efficiency. Hybrid work options are available across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Experience in BIM coordination and digital delivery for building services projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit; knowledge of Revizto/Navisworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams.
• Background in mechanical, fire or hydraulic disciplines is highly regarded.
• Australian Citizenship preferred; defence clearance is valued.

How you'll make a difference

Digital BIM Lead - Building Services

This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and other AECOM offices in Australia.

• Lead BIM execution planning and digital coordination across Building Services projects, embedding consistent standards and methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Direct clash detection and model coordination processes, upholding BIM standards and ISO19650 principles across design and construction phases.
• Guide the evaluation and implementation of digital tools and emerging technology, driving improved efficiency and delivery outcomes across the portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to project-based BIM teams, ensuring consistent quality and coordination outcomes regardless of project scale.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external consultants, aligning digital delivery with broader project and client objectives.
• Work across key sectors including Defence, Health, Education, Sport & Culture, Transit and Building projects.

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role.

• Relevant technical qualifications or industry experience in Building Services, with a background in mechanical, fire or hydraulic disciplines highly regarded.
• Proven experience in BIM coordination and digital delivery within the construction or infrastructure sector.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with working knowledge of coordination platforms such as Revizto and Navisworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary coordination processes.
• Given the nature of some projects, Australian Citizenship is preferred, with current defence clearance highly regarded.
