Job summary

Upsun is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to evolve our cloud platform from traditional operations to an automation‑driven SRE model. You will own critical workstreams that improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency across multi‑cloud environments.

You will partner with engineering, product, and platform teams to embed reliability into every stage of the software delivery lifecycle, implement IaC, and establish robust observability standards for worldwide users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SRE/DevOps experience with production platforms at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Go or Python to build automation tools and components.
• Deep Linux internals knowledge of OS, kernel parameters, networking, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Deep expertise with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Openstack) and Terraform for distributed systems.
• Autonomous ownership, systems thinking, and ability to lead infrastructure initiatives with minimal guidance.
• Outstanding cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive reliability and observability strategy with proactive monitoring and SLIs/SLOs.
• Automate infrastructure using IaC across cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Scale CI/CD and delivery pipelines for fast, secure, zero-downtime releases.
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, and preventative improvement actions.
• Collaborate with product and software engineering to integrate SRE best practices into roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to optimize platform stability and performance.
• Follow a 4-week rotation balancing engineering and operations for reliability and automation.
