Job summary

Upsun is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to evolve our cloud platform toward autonomous, automation-driven reliability. You will own critical workstreams across multi‑cloud environments, embedding observability and reliability into the software lifecycle and driving IaC practices with Terraform and Ansible.

You will lead incident response, optimize pipelines, and partner with product teams to push SRE best practices while maintaining a strong culture of collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps with production scale ownership.
• Strong Go or Python skills to build automation/tools beyond scripts.
• Deep Linux internals knowledge and performance profiling.
• Experience with IaC and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
• Ability to anticipate risks, trade-offs, and drive initiatives with minimal guidance.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute reliability and observability strategy across multi-cloud platforms.
• Automate infrastructure and workflows with Terraform and Ansible.
• Scale CI/CD pipelines for fast, secure, zero-downtime releases.
• Lead incident response, blameless post-mortems, and preventative enhancements.
• Partner with product and software teams to embed SRE practices in roadmaps.
• Identify bottlenecks and evaluate emerging tech to improve stability.
• Maintain a 4-week rotation balancing engineering and operations.
