Job summary

Upsun is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead the evolution of our multi-cloud platform. You will drive reliability, observability, and automation across AWS, GCP, and Azure, partnering with engineering and product teams to embed SRE practices into delivery.

You bring 5+ years of SRE experience, strong Go or Python, deep Linux knowledge, and a thoughtful approach to incident response and IaC. This remote role is focused on WA time zones with a global, inclusive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps for production platforms.
• Strong Go or Python skills to build automation tools.
• Deep Linux internals knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Infra as Code experience with Terraform and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure/OpenStack).
• Ability to own projects end-to-end with minimal guidance.
• Excellent cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute reliability and observability strategy.
• Automate infrastructure and workflows across multi-cloud environments.
• Scale CI/CD pipelines and ensure zero-downtime releases.
• Lead incident response and blameless postmortems.
• Collaborate with product and software engineering to embed SRE practices.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve platform stability.
• Follow a rotation balancing engineering and operations for reliability.
