Job summary

FinClear in Perth is seeking a hands-on Solutions Architect to shape the platforms behind equities trading, clearing and settlement across Australia with a focus on security, scalability and regulatory compliance.

You’ll own the design end-to-end, lead technical delivery across multiple teams, and still write code. This role combines architecture leadership with practical coding and collaboration across vendors and partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building enterprise backend systems in Java or an equivalent language.
• 5+ years building web solutions in JavaScript/TypeScript/HTML5/CSS, preferably with React or Next.js.

Responsibilities

• Design the solution: translate enterprise architecture inputs into secure, scalable designs.
• Lead a team technically: set direction, break work down, ensure code quality.
• Estimate work for planning and prioritisation.
• Lead delivery: coordinate with multiple teams, manage dependencies.
• Stay hands-on: review code, prototype where helpful, leverage AI tools.
