Job summary

ASX is seeking a Senior Solution Architect aligned to ASX Markets to design and evolve core systems that support trading, market operations, and regulatory obligations.

You will lead architecture across large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise IT Strategy and architecture principles, while collaborating with engineering to deliver low-latency, reliable platforms for Australia’s financial markets.

Qualifications

• Experience with architecture of mission critical, high transaction volume environments.
• Experience in markets trading within a financial services environment.
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to explain technology from a customer perspective.
• Demonstrated Stakeholder Management and Engagement with examples of collaboration on solution architecture.
• Experience developing solution architectures in hybrid (legacy / cloud – SaaS, PaaS & IaaS) environments.
• Experience with full SDLC using traditional and agile methodologies.
• Experience in developing Non-Functional Requirements to support implementation of new or uplifted solutions.
• B.S. and / or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Be a practitioner/team member of the Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture Community of Practice (CoP).
• Design and evolve core systems supporting trading, market operations, and regulatory obligations.
• Lead design and development of solution architecture across large-scale projects.
• Provide technical leadership with high-quality designs and documentation.
• Collaborate with Business Analysis, Delivery, Infrastructure, IT Service Ownership, Quality Engineering, Solution Engineering and Testing.
