Job summary

HCLTech in Australia seeks a seasoned Business Analyst with 10+ years in Financial Technology to drive analysis, design, and stakeholder alignment across Wealth Management and Core Banking domains. You will capture customer needs, translate them into functional specifications, and guide design, development and testing with a focus on cost-efficient, value-driven solutions.

Strong domain knowledge in Avaloq and trading platforms is preferred; you will mediate between business and technical teams,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Technologies or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Financial Technology, Wealth Management, or Core Banking; Avaloq preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Knowledge of trading, middle office, and back-office platforms (Bloomberg, Avaloq, FinIQ) is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive and lead analysis & design, solution validation, and workshops to ensure complete coverage.
• Capture customer needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
• Define and bridge the gap between requirements, solution, development, and testing.
• Formalize business requirements with use cases, scenarios, and workflows.
• Mediate discussions and make decisions on feasibility, costs, and architecture.
• Report progress, risks and issues to project or delivery managers.
• Act as domain expert and support consulting projects and workshops with customers.
