Job summary

Victorian Department of Health is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead analysis and design for new initiatives within the Solutions Analysis and Design team in Melbourne. You will assess platforms, design architectures, and define interactions between applications, databases and middleware to meet business needs and align with department objectives.

The role requires expertise in .Net, Azure, Angular, and SQL Server, with extensive cloud architecture experience and the ability to present

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in an Information Technology discipline is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft .Net, Azure cloud services, Angular and SQL Server is essential.
• Extensive experience in ICT cloud architecture and evaluating stakeholder requirements for solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assess technology platforms and design application and reporting architectures based on business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Define interaction between application packages, databases and middleware systems to ensure coverage.
• Advise and present solution options to business, senior management and executives.

Senior Solution Architect, Strategy Architecture & Planning

About the role:

The Senior Solution Architect is part of the Solutions Analysis and Design team, which leads all solution option analysis and design activities for new initiatives assigned to the Unit/Branch through formal demand channels. The team assesses potential options and recommends the most suitable solution to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives. All solution designs are based on endorsed platforms to deliver optimal, fit-for-purpose outcomes.

The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for assessing technology platforms and designs application and reporting architecture based on business, functional and non-functional requirements, this includes defining the interaction between application packages, databases and middleware systems in terms of functional and non-functional coverage.
