Job summary

The Department of Health is seeking a Senior Solution Architect in Strategy Architecture & Planning to join the Solutions Analysis and Design team in Victoria. You will analyse options and design architectures that meet business needs, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and endorsed platforms.

You will assess technology platforms, define interactions between applications, databases and middleware, and present viable options to senior management and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant Information Technology discipline is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft .Net, Azure cloud services, Angular and SQL server is essential.
• Extensive experience in ICT cloud architecture, technologies and current/emerging industry trends. Proven ability to evaluate stakeholder requirements and develop and present solution options to business, senior management and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess technology platforms and designs application and reporting architecture based on business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Define the interaction between application packages, databases and middleware systems in terms of functional and non-functional coverage.
• Lead option analysis and design activities and present solution options to senior management and executives.

Senior Solution Architect, Strategy Architecture & Planning

The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. We’re focused on

About the role:

The Senior Solution Architect is part of the Solutions Analysis and Design team, which leads all solution option analysis and design activities for new initiatives assigned to the Unit/Branch through formal demand channels. The team assesses potential options and recommends the most suitable solution to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives. All solution designs are based on endorsed platforms to deliver optimal, fit-for-purpose outcomes.
