Job summary

Department of Health Victoria in Melbourne seeks a Principal Solution Architect to lead architecture across Microsoft 365, Copilot and Power Platform. You will translate business and security requirements into secure, scalable designs and guide projects with strategic guidance on reusable patterns and guardrails.

The role emphasizes designing across integration patterns, APIs and SOA, enabling effective use of AI capabilities and cloud services. Flexible working arrangements may be available.

Qualifications

• A relevant IT-related degree will be highly advantageous.
• Certification in ITIL is highly desirable.
• Agile project experience will be advantageous.
• Proven expertise in software design patterns, development standards, and application frameworks.
• Integration patterns, SOAP Web Services and RESTful APIs, API management and SOA, plus JSON and XML messaging.

Responsibilities

• Develop solution proposals across Microsoft 365 and AI capabilities.
• Assess technical designs and provide architectural advice.
• Translate business, security, and information management requirements into secure, scalable designs.
• Lead solution options analysis and establish reusable patterns.
• Define guardrails for secure use of Microsoft 365, Power Platform and AI capabilities.
