Job summary

Challenger Limited in Sydney is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead end-to-end architecture across multiple programmes. You will design High Level Solution Architectures, guide delivery teams, and partner with Product Owners and engineers to ensure scalable, governance-compliant outcomes.

This role offers hybrid work with 3 days in-office at Martin Place, enabling close collaboration with external partners and visibility across the enterprise architecture function.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
• Investment management architecture across platforms and operating models.
• Experience with investment data architectures and integration.
• Hands-on architecture across complex enterprise environments.
• Owns end-to-end solution architecture: business, application, information, integration, infra.
• Proven ability to work in complex delivery environments and SDLC.
• Strong stakeholder communication and ability to guide senior leaders.
• Commercial and architectural judgement, weighing trade-offs.
• Broad knowledge of enterprise technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Design High Level Solution Architectures (HLSAs) and review designs across programmes.
• Make and document key technology decisions to unblock delivery.
• Partner with Product Owners, engineers and delivery teams to ensure scalable solutions.
• Represent Challenger in technical discussions with external partners.
• Manage technology vendor relationships and partner delivery.
• Identify and manage technical debt and interdependency risks.
• Ensure solutions meet governance, cybersecurity, privacy and data standards.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture direction and reference architectures.
• Participate in Architecture Review Board and governance across designs.
