Job summary

PCL Constructors Pacific Rim PTY Ltd. is seeking an Estimating Manager in Sydney, NSW to lead the Solar Australia estimating team.

You will direct estimate development, pricing of labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, and ensure high-quality bid packages while coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders. The role requires substantial experience in renewable energy cost estimating, strong leadership, and the ability to drive value engineering and risk management across large

Qualifications

• Extensive estimating expertise in construction cost estimating, preferably utility-scale solar or renewable energy.
• Proven leadership of an estimating department or team.
• Strong ability to communicate risks, opportunities and commercial positions.

Responsibilities

• Leads Solar Australia estimating department (7–8 reports) including direction, workload planning and coaching.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely estimates, budgets, and tender deliverables with required reviews and bid closures.
• Directs detailed review of contracts and drawings for solar/BESS projects to confirm scope, pricing and risks.
• Develops pursuit and win strategies using market intelligence and value engineering.
• Collaborates with senior leadership to qualify opportunities and support proposals and client meetings.
• Establishes estimating standards and governance; ensures disciplined turnover after award.
