Job summary

PCL Constructors Pacific Rim PTY Ltd. in Sydney, New South Wales is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead a small team of estimators for utility-scale solar and renewables projects.

You will manage estimates, budgets, tender deliverables and client engagements, ensuring accurate cost validation and risk assessment across labour, equipment and materials. The role requires strong leadership, deep estimating expertise, and excellent communication with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating, ideally in utility-scale solar or renewables.
• Experience leading estimating personnel and teams on major pursuits.
• Expert knowledge of estimate development, procurement, and cost validation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management for client meetings and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of approximately 2-4 estimators with direction, planning and coaching.
• Leads estimate development, budgets, RFP/RFQ responses and tender deliverables.
• Develops and validates estimates across labour, equipment, materials and vendors.
• Reviews contract documents and schedules for accuracy and risk, supporting tender review.
• Collaborates with estimating, operations and engineering to align schedules and deliverables.
