PCL Constructors Pacific Rim PTY Ltd. is seeking a Senior Estimator in Sydney, NSW to lead a small team and drive detailed estimates for utility-scale solar and BESS projects.

The role involves coordinating with operations, engineering and business development to ensure accurate cost projections and competitive bids. The ideal candidate has extensive estimating experience in renewable energy, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage complex pursuits under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating, ideally within utility-scale solar.
• Experience leading estimating teams on major pursuits, including mentoring employees.
• Expert knowledge of estimate development, construction methods, scheduling, procurement and cost validation.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately 2-4 estimators, including direction, workload planning, technical guidance and performance support.
• Lead estimate development, budgets, RFP/RFQ responses and tender deliverables for assigned pursuits.
• Develop estimates across labour, equipment, materials, subcontractor and supplier pricing; validate market rates.
• Review contract documents and specifications for solar projects to confirm scope, pricing, risk, and obligations.
