Boeing Defence Australia seeks a Senior Software Engineer to support the Battlespace Communication System AIR6500 program in Brisbane. You will help design and scale the Mission System Manager, developing both front-end and back-end components to deliver secure, reliable communications for the ADF.

Qualifications

• Australian citizen eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance.

• A tertiary qualification in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience within Defence or complex engineering project environments.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, C programming, and UI design is desirable.
• Experience building secure applications in a Linux environment.
• Ability to take part in all aspects of the software development lifecycle with an agile mindset.
• Knowledge of IP networking protocols and network security.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of robust networking and communications software with focus on cyber security, scalability and performance.
• Design, development, integration and test of integrated hardware and software systems.
• Write code to solve complex problems.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback.
