Job summary

Federal Government client (agency undisclosed) in Canberra is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Digital & Data on a labour-hire contract through 30 June 2027. Hybrid work arrangements apply, with specific supervisor-approved arrangements. Competitive pay of AUD 130–160 per hour including super, negotiable.

Role requires producing solution designs, architecture diagrams, API specs, runbooks and deployment docs, with NV1 clearance or above as essential criterion.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NV1 clearance or above.
• Experience delivering secure, scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary Agile teams and across SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Deliver secure, scalable, and resilient AWS cloud-native solutions while providing technical leadership across the full SDLC.
• Work in multi-disciplinary Agile teams across applications, APIs, integrations, serverless services and containerised workloads.
• Design and develop AWS cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices and integrations.
• Build event-driven, serverless and containerised solutions using AWS services.
