Job summary

The University of New South Wales in Sydney invites a Senior Software Engineer to join the School of Biomedical Engineering on a 12-month fixed term contract. You will translate platform-specific applications to platform-agnostic architectures and drive forward deployment of AI solutions across frontend and backend systems.

The role covers computer vision, deep learning integration, model deployment, and mobile app development with TypeScript and React Native, in collaboration with universities

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Software Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent, with a depth of subsequent relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience with forward-deployed AI engineering, working directly with users and stakeholders to translate requirements into production solutions, together with strong frontend and backend software engineering capability.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing computer vision solutions.
• Demonstrated experience integrating deep learning models and capabilities into production software.
• Demonstrated experience developing, deploying, monitoring and maintaining machine learning models.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React Native development.
• Demonstrated high level experience and understanding of requirements in working in a medical device regulatory environment, including compliance with ISO 13485.
