Job summary

Fivecast is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Adelaide-based team. You will work with the engineering group to scope, design, implement, test and integrate software for a large web-based application, with emphasis on Java backend and AI-enabled features.

You'll mentor junior developers, design data storage models, and deploy in AWS, collaborating with frontend tech like HTML/CSS, React, Angular and Spring within a cloud-first environment.

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship required due to NV1 defence clearance eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in systems/software engineering or computer science.
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering/technology development experience.
• Demonstrated interest in AI technologies with experience using, experimenting with, or building AI-enabled solutions.
• Highly organized, problem solver with the ability to get things done.
• Excellent, collaborative team player and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills, including UML.
• Experience with software engineering, data storage, web technologies.

Requirements
