Job summary

University of New South Wales is seeking a senior Program Manager (AI) to lead university-wide AI initiatives within the Innovation & Enablement team. Hybrid role with 2–3 days in the Kensington campus office, reporting to Head of AI Ecosystem.

You will drive strategic planning, governance and delivery, coordinating across multiple streams including analysis, architecture and engineering, while ensuring responsible AI practices and alignment with university objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large, complex AI programs.
• Understanding of Responsible AI lifecycle and governance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Knowledge of privacy, security and ethical obligations in AI projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee AI program planning, execution and governance.
• Develop a university-wide AI delivery master plan with milestones and interdependencies.
• Align activities with UNSW AI Services & Governance Framework.
• Manage program budgets, benefits realisation and change management.
