We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Software Developer to join Orica's Digital Solutions team and help shape the future of OREPro 3D. OREPro 3D is used by mining operations around the world to simulate rock movement before and after blasting, helping geologists separate ore from waste and define the dig boundaries excavators follow.
We seek a Senior Software Developer who enjoys working in a small team solving complex problems with simple solutions. You will work alongside a Senior Product Manager (PM), a Business Analyst (BA) and three other developers, within the wider Digital Solutions group. You will report to the lead developer, who is in the code every day.
There's plenty of opportunity to make your mark, whether that's delivering new functionality, improving existing workflows, or helping shape the future direction of the product.
The team is a mixture of remote and hybrid (Newcastle based). You will work with other teams geographically distributed across Australia and overseas.

Also useful: Three.js or other real-time 3D, Rust, Electron, optimisation algorithms, vector maths and spatial data structures, physics or simulation software, and mining data.
