Qualifications

• Experience in sheltered housing, housing management, or similar customer-focused environment.
• Experience supporting older people to maintain independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
• Experience carrying out assessments, developing support plans and managing a varied caseload.
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practices, risk assessment and supporting vulnerable adults.
• Experience working alongside partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams.
• The ability to manage challenging situations with confidence, professionalism and sound judgement.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with residents, colleagues, contractors and external partners.
• Compassionate, resilient and customer-focused approach to support people.
• Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems to maintain records and support service delivery.
• Flexible approach to working across other sheltered housing schemes when required.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality housing management service within a sheltered housing environment.
• Support residents aged 55+ to maintain independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
• Carry out wellbeing checks, risk and needs assessments, resident reviews and support planning.
• Assist residents to access services, including health, social care, welfare support and adaptions.
• Respond to resident enquiries with practical advice and support on housing matters.
• Support tenancy sustainment and manage low-level tenancy issues with specialist teams.
• Assist lettings process, including assessments, viewings and welcoming new residents.
• Facilitate resident engagement sessions, activities and events promoting wellbeing and social inclusion.
• Use digital tools to engage with residents and share information.
• Ensure schemes are safe, secure and compliant through inspections and safety checks.
• Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and respond to emergencies to ensure resident support.
