BT Automation is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Consultant to drive complex digital transformations for Australian Federal Government and enterprise accounts in a dual advisory and execution capacity.

You will lead requirements discovery, solution architecture, and governance while hands‑on configuring ServiceNow, building automations, and integrating legacy systems. The role demands security clearance readiness and a strong ITIL/SecOps background.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on ServiceNow consulting, configuring, and developing in public sector environments.
• Experience delivering ITSM, ITOM, CSM, IRM/GRC, or SecOps modules.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum delivery with Jira and ServiceNow Agile Development.
• Security clearances and Australian citizenship are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops with clients to map current-state processes to out-of-the-box ServiceNow capabilities and future-state models.
• Author Technical Design Documents, Architecture Roadmaps, and User Stories aligned with ISM standards.
• Partner with Delivery Managers to refine backlogs, estimate story points, and scope releases.
• Facilitate UAT, define validation scenarios, and lead executive demos.
• Build scalable automation using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and REST/SOAP integrations.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Consultant to join our team, driving complex digital transformations across Australian Federal Government and enterprise accounts. In this dual advisory and execution role, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior government stakeholders, leading requirements discovery, solution architecture, and governance while driving hands‑on platform configuration, custom workflow engineering, and integrations.

Key responsibilities

Lead client workshops to evaluate current-state processes, map business needs to out‑of‑the‑box (OOTB) ServiceNow capabilities, and define future-state digital service models

Author comprehensive Technical Design Documents (TDDs), Architecture Roadmaps, and User Stories aligned with Commonwealth ITIL and Information Security Manual (ISM) standards

Partner with Delivery Managers and Product Owners to refine backlogs, estimate story points, and establish release scoping for sprint cycles

Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), define validation scenarios, and lead executive demos and end‑user enablement

Build scalable automation using Flow Designer, Process Automation Designer, and IntegrationHub

Design intuitive Service Portals and dynamic Service Catalog workflows using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and AngularJS

Design and configure REST/SOAP API integrations to seamlessly connect ServiceNow with legacy agency databases and enterprise systems

About you

Australian Citizenship is mandatory

Active AGSVA Baseline, NV1, or NV2 security clearance is highly desirable

5+ years of hands‑on experience consulting, configuring, and developing on the ServiceNow platform, with demonstrated experience delivering within Australian Public Sector environments

Expertise across key modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, IRM/GRC, or SecOps

Proficient in Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks (Jira, ServiceNow Agile Development)

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in a core module (e.g., ITSM, HRSD, IRM)

ITIL v4 Foundation or Strategic Leader certification
