Job summary

Haileybury, Brighton campus, invites applications for a part-time Learning Support Assistant (Senior School). The role supports students in Years 9–12 across multiple age groups, with 0.4 FTE and preferred Mondays and Wednesdays.

You will work within a busy multi-campus environment, providing proactive student-centred support and liaising with the Head of Individual Needs. The successful candidate will have experience supporting diverse learners, strong interpersonal and organisational skills,

Qualifications

• Experience identifying learning needs and supporting diverse learners
• Ability to assist students with identified learning difficulties
• Collaborative liaison with learning support staff and teachers
• Experience with adjusted curricula and student progression tracking
• Experience with culturally and linguistically diverse students

Responsibilities

• Identify student learning needs and respond under Head of Individual Needs guidance
• Maintain confidential weekly student notes on Microsoft Teams
• Support students in classrooms with identified learning difficulties
• Liaise with Head of Individual Needs and teaching staff to maintain a support program
• Assist students with adjusted curricula under classroom guidance
• Build positive rapport with staff and students and collaborate effectively
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Maintain high organisational standards and manage deadlines
• Support students from diverse backgrounds with inclusive practices
