James Sheahan Catholic High School, Orange NSW, is seeking a Learning Support Teacher (0.5 FTE) to join the supportive staff. You will work with colleagues to ensure a inclusive, learner-centred environment and implement Individual Learning Plans to support students in years 7–12.

The role requires collaboration with parents, staff, and allied health professionals, data-driven assessment, and ongoing professional development while contributing to school life within a Catholic education context.

Qualifications

• Commitment to Catholic ethos in the workplace.
• Ability to implement learning support programs and structures in a secondary school setting (including Individual Learning Plans).
• Ability to support tiered intervention strategies and assist teaching staff.

Responsabilités

• Create a learner-centred, supportive classroom aligned with policies.
• Develop and implement quality curriculum programs; assess and report progress.
• Analyse assessment data to identify barriers and support improvement.
• Collaborate with parents and allied health professionals to support student engagement.
