Job summary

Bechtel seeks an experienced scheduler to join the project controls team in Australia. You will prepare schedule data for proposals, develop work breakdown structures, and integrate complex schedules across engineering, procurement, and construction.

The role requires delivering on-time, recovery options, and clear communication with multiple disciplines. Part-time telework with three days in-person weekly may apply.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years.
• Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling principles, including schedule development and progress forecasting.
• Experience integrating schedules for complex engineering, procurement, construction, or commissioning.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or equivalent and ability to assess schedule quality.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with cross-discipline coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepares schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations.
• Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline or specialty.
• Develops WBS, duration estimates, logic ties, and job expenditures.
• Performs schedule monitoring, identifies critical activities, updates schedules.
• Produces critical-path reports and schedule performance metrics.
• Evaluates subcontractor schedules and potential improvements.
