Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced cost engineering and scheduling professional to provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling support for major infrastructure projects in Australia. The role emphasizes establishing and managing robust reporting, integrating multi-discipline data, and delivering executive-level insights.

The position requires leading cross-functional contributors, driving continuous improvement in project controls, and training stakeholders in reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, finance, quantity surveying or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant project controls, reporting, cost, planning, scheduling, performance management or project delivery experience, including experience on large, complex infrastructure or major capital projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading reporting processes, coordinating multi-discipline contributors and producing executive-level project performance information.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the project reporting framework, standards, reporting calendar and governance requirements.
• Lead the preparation and issuance of project performance reports, dashboards and executive reporting packages.
• Integrate cost, schedule, progress, risk, change, procurement and construction data to provide a consolidated view of project performance.
• Develop clear performance narratives identifying key trends, issues, risks, forecast impacts and required management actions.
• Oversee reporting data integrity through validation, reconciliation and quality control processes.
