Job summary

Bechtel in Brisbane seeks an experienced Senior Planner to support a greenfield mining project. You will prepare schedule data for proposals, apply unit data, perform integrations, and develop recovery plans to keep the project on track and on time.

Role requires leading Level 3/4 schedules, mentoring staff, and coordinating with subcontractors. Strong Primavera P6 and MS Office skills are essential for delivering accurate forecasts and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of relevant experience, or 14+ years of relevant work experience.
• High level of proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Suite.
• Experience as a senior planning and scheduling professional on construction projects in the resource/energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Manages planning activities within a project, including Level 3 and Level 4 schedules.
• Evaluates subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or improvements.
• Identifies schedule trends for management attention.
• Analyzes data to provide innovative solutions to scheduling challenges.
• Ensures schedule updates are completed in time to support reporting.
• Supports project organizational and administrative activities.
• Evaluate project progress to meet budgetary and deadline objectives.
• Monitor project performance and identify schedule risks, delays and opportunities.
• Support project controls, forecasting and reporting activities.
• Manage resource and commodity load schedules for forecasting and reporting.
• Maintains open communications to support schedule maintenance and reporting.
