Job summary

Lead Scheduler at KBR, Inc. is responsible for the end-to-end development, maintenance, and assurance of integrated project and program schedules across diverse, multidisciplinary projects.

You will analyze schedule performance, forecast outcomes, and drive contingency planning. In this role, you will conduct health checks, lead risk workshops, and provide scenario planning, with a focus on resource-loading and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 15+ years' experience in project planning and scheduling across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Advanced Primavera P6 expertise, including resource loading, baselining, earned value integration, schedule assurance, and forensic schedule analysis.
• Extensive experience developing, managing, and assuring complex project schedules, integrated master schedules, and program schedules.
• Strong understanding of project controls principles, forecasting, progress measurement, earned value management, and schedule performance analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex project challenges through sound judgement, analytical thinking, and technical expertise.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction, client, and project management teams.
• Proven leadership capability with experience mentoring, coaching, and providing technical direction to project teams and junior planners/schedulers.
• High-level analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, and assurance of integrated project and program schedules.
• Provide expert analysis of schedule performance, including critical path, float consumption, productivity trends, and forecasting outcomes.
• Conduct schedule health checks, compliance reviews, and assurance assessments across projects and programs.
• Lead schedule risk workshops and support quantitative schedule risk analysis and contingency assessments.
• Support project teams with scenario planning, recovery planning, and what-if analysis.
• Develop and manage resource-loaded schedules, resource forecasting, and capacity planning activities.
• Provide strategic planning support during bids, tenders, project mobilisation, and major project reviews.
• Present schedule insights, recommendations, and recovery strategies to senior management, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop schedulers and project controls professionals across the business.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives relating to scheduling processes, reporting, automation, and digital project controls solutions.
