Job summary

Lead Scheduler at KBR, Inc. is responsible for the end-to-end development, maintenance, and assurance of integrated project and program schedules across diverse, multidisciplinary projects.

You will analyze schedule performance, forecast outcomes, and drive contingency planning. In this role, you will conduct health checks, lead risk workshops, and provide scenario planning, with a focus on resource-loading and capacity planning.

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years' experience in project planning and scheduling across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 expertise, including resource loading, baselining, earned value integration, schedule assurance, and forensic schedule analysis.
  • Extensive experience developing, managing, and assuring complex project schedules, integrated master schedules, and program schedules.
  • Strong understanding of project controls principles, forecasting, progress measurement, earned value management, and schedule performance analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex project challenges through sound judgement, analytical thinking, and technical expertise.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction, client, and project management teams.
  • Proven leadership capability with experience mentoring, coaching, and providing technical direction to project teams and junior planners/schedulers.
  • High-level analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

15+ years' experience in project planning and scheduling across complex, multidisciplinary projects.

Advanced Primavera P6 expertise, including resource loading, baselining, earned value integration, schedule assurance, and forensic schedule analysis.

Extensive experience developing, managing, and assuring complex project schedules, integrated master schedules, and program schedules.

Strong understanding of project controls principles, forecasting, progress measurement, earned value management, and schedule performance analysis.

Demonstrated ability to solve complex project challenges through sound judgement, analytical thinking, and technical expertise.

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction, client, and project management teams.

Proven leadership capability with experience mentoring, coaching, and providing technical direction to project teams and junior planners/schedulers.

High-level analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently under broad direction while managing competing priorities in a dynamic project environment.

Advanced proficiency with project scheduling, project controls, and reporting systems and tools.

Experience across major infrastructure, defence, resources, energy, water, or transport projects is highly regarded.
