Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a major government project delivering high-speed rail between Sydney and Newcastle. The Senior Manager - Safety & Systems Assurance will lead the enterprise Safety Management System from the ground up, govern its safety timelines, and manage accreditation pathways over a two-year horizon.

You will author safety standards, engage with regulators and external partners, and drive risk-based decisions with executive leadership, operating in a hybrid environment across

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience leading safety management or regulatory accreditation within complex rail or infrastructure.
• Proven mastery of ONRSR regulatory expectations, rail safety obligations and WHS legislation.
• Experience writing complex safety artefacts and policy standards at high volume.

Responsibilities

• Own, build, and refine the enterprise Safety Management System and WHS frameworks.
• Lead the integrated safety assurance program and manage hazard logs and safety cases.
• Oversee external delivery partners to ensure alignment with Safety in Design and systems integration.
• Provide technical and risk advice to executive leadership.
