Job summary

The Senior SHEQ Advisor - NT Operations at Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT is based in Darwin, coordinating safety, health, environment and quality across NT operations, including TEMRS. You will partner with leaders and frontline teams to integrate risk controls and assurance from mobilisation through ongoing service delivery.

With at least five years in complex remote operations and strong knowledge of NT WHS regulations, you will coach leaders, investigate incidents and lead risk-based

Qualifications

• Experienced WHS professional with 5+ years in complex, multi-site, remote operations.
• Strong knowledge of Northern Territory WHS legislation, regulations, codes of practice and incident-notification obligations.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching and influencing skills across diverse, remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible SHEQ leadership and practical, risk-based advice across NT operations.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify risks, support effective controls and verify control effectiveness.
• Lead NT implementation and verification of approved critical-risk and critical-control requirements.
• Coordinate SHEQ readiness and assurance activities for TEMRS mobilisation, activation and transition.
• Lead or support significant and complex SHEQ investigations, and verify corrective actions.
• Plan and conduct risk-based inspections, audits, operational reviews and control-verification activities.
• Provide SHEQ advice for operational change, contractors, facilities and interfaces.
• Support remote and isolated-work controls across NT operations.
• Coach leaders and workers in consultation, risk management and RFDS SA/NT SHEQ requirements.
• Collaborate with the broader SHEQ team for continuous improvement across RFDS SA/NT.
