Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the design team and civil engineering delivery across major road and transport projects in Melbourne. You will play a key role in winning work, supporting opportunity development, proposals and major bids, and develop methodologies, scopes, programmes and resourcing strategies for new opportunities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in roads, civil or transport infrastructure.
• Strong experience working within the Victorian transport infrastructure market.
• Demonstrated experience in Design Manager and/or Civil Lead roles on large, multidisciplinary transport projects.
• Proven involvement in proposals, bids and work-winning, including methodology, scope, programme and resourcing.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to bring people together around complex project issues to deliver positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage design team and civil engineering delivery across major multidisciplinary road and transport projects.
• Play a key role in winning work, supporting opportunity development, proposals and major bids.
• Develop compelling methodologies, scopes, programmes and resourcing strategies for new opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with government clients, contractors, delivery partners and key industry stakeholders.
• Provide technical and project leadership from early pursuits through to project delivery.
• Work across complex transport environments including major road upgrades, freeways, highways and broader multidisciplinary infrastructure programs.
• Bring strong Victorian market knowledge and relevant project experience that strengthens our position on major pursuits.
