Job summary

Aurecon in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer – Transport to lead the Roads/Civil discipline on major road and transport projects across Victoria. You’ll work with project managers, design managers and technical specialists to plan, design and deliver initiatives from concept through construction.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and RPEV registration, 7–10 years’ experience in roads/transport, strong communication and stakeholder management, and willingness to contribute

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Victoria (RPEV).
• Approximately 7-10 years' experience delivering roads, transport or civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience working on Victorian transport and road infrastructure projects.
• Strong project delivery experience and the ability to contribute immediately within a project environment.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative mindset and desire to continue growing your career within transport infrastructure.
• High regard but not essential: Road design experience using OpenRoads or similar software.
• Civil or drainage design experience.
• Experience supporting bids, proposals or client relationship activities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of road and civil infrastructure projects across Victoria.
• Support the planning, design and delivery of transport infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and key project stakeholders.
• Drive the development of practical and innovative engineering solutions.
• Support project delivery, commercial performance and quality outcomes.
• Contribute to client relationship development and proposal opportunities where appropriate.
• Continue building your technical, project management or design management capability as your career develops.
